We are still open for in-person during the stay-at-home order
As an essential health service, we are continuing to see our clients in-person at both our locations, Mississauga and Guelph. We have our safety protocols in place (see announcement from April 2020). A year into the pandemic and in the middle of this third wave, we know that mental health is important now more than ever.

Guelph Office Announcement and Wait List Option
Hello there! I'd like to share a two brief announcements about my practice.
1. Wait List function gets you a sooner appointment.
As my schedule is getting fuller, sometimes my next available appointment is in 2-3 weeks! But that doesn't mean that you have to wait that long. Now, you can add yourself to the wait list for any particular day/time that you know you'll be free, and if I get a cancellation for a time that you indicated you're available, I can easily book you in! While there's no guarantee a slot will open up, it's worked for so many clients these past few weeks!
How do add yourself to the wait list:
A) check my availability at the contact/book page, and if you notice that you want a sooner appointment than my next availability,
B) book an appointment anyway, just to make sure you have a slot (you can book as many as you want).
C) add yourself to the wait list for days/times you know you'll be available (see below). There is no limit when adding yourself to the wait list.
E) And that's it! If/when I get an opening and you're on the wait list for that specific time slot, I will book you in!
2. Guelph Office is Under Renovations!
It's been several months since I've been able to see clients in my Guelph office. Now, finally some good news! The room I was using belonged to a wonderful veteran therapist that had been practicing in it for over 20 years. Now, she has generously offered to pass it down to my practice! We are so grateful to carry on the torch of offering high quality therapy services in the Norfolk Healing Arts Centre in Guelph. The landlord has decided to renovate the room, so I will regain access to the Guelph room in about a month! I will let you know as soon as you can book!
BONUS Announcement: Because my practice has been growing so rapidly, I am in the process of hiring highly trained and skilled therapists to provide quality individual, couple, and family therapy! Our new practice is called Building Bridges Psychotherapy, where we believe that healing happens through connection. Check out this video for more information :)
That's it for today. Feel free to follow me on Instagram, like me on Facebook, and connect with me on LinkedIn.
And of course, if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me.

New changes coming July 1st!
Because my practice has been growing, I have decided to move my Mississauga office! I will be moving into my own room (that means no more dollhouse and figurines) coming July 1st. The new room will be bigger and better suited for individual, couple, and family therapy. I will be moving on July 1st, 2020. The new address is 52 Village Centre Place, room 201, which is in the same complex as my current office. That means you can park in the same lot. The new building is actually easier to find, as it is closer to the complex entrance.
As for my Guelph office, I plan on re-opening for in-person visits in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more information!
As a result of my growing practice, I must now charge HST starting July 1st. Given that my regular hourly fee is $150/hr, adding HST (13%) meant increasing my rate by about $20 to $170. I decided that an extra $20/hr would be too much of an increase for my clients, so I decided to increase my rate by only $10 to $160/hr, which means I will actually be making $10/hr less than what I usually make. I decided that this would be better than making therapy less accessible. The $10/hr rate increase will apply to all of my reduced rates as well. Note: If you feel that you will not be able to afford the $10/hr increase, please let me know.
And finally, due to the ever increasing demand for therapy, I will soon be hiring therapists to join my team! Stay tuned for more information!
That's it for today. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Your therapist,
Justin

COVID-19 ANNOUNCEMENT: IN-PERSON AND REMOTE THERAPY
Hello everyone,
I want to discuss how we can continue therapy during the COVID19 pandemic. Your health (both physical and mental) is my priority.
In Person Sessions
Mississauga Office
For your benefit, I am continuing to see clients face to face at my Mississauga office only. If you would like to meet face to face, I have implemented the following changes at my office to help minimize the chances of infection:
Commonly touched surfaces and objects, such as doorknobs, will be regularly disinfected.
I will be washing my hands for twenty seconds or use hand sanitizer between sessions.
I have added additional boxes of tissues and hand sanitizer to my office.
I have created social distancing in my waiting area by creating more space between chairs.
If you like, I can text you when I am ready to see you, allowing you to wait outside or in a space that allows for greater social distancing.
If you would like to book an in-person session online, please feel free to contact me or book online using the link at the bottom of this email.
Guelph office
Unfortunately, I will not be able to continue in-person sessions at my Guelph office location. If you are in Guelph or surrounding regions and would like to book a session with me, we can do a phone/video session.
Phone/Video Sessions
Many of my clients have opted for phone or video sessions. The technology used is straightforward, user-friendly, secure, and can easily be set up on your phone, tablet or computer. Couple therapy and family therapy is possible over phone and video. If you would like to book a phone/video session with me, or you would like to switch your in-person session to a phone/video session, you can do so online: contact me.
Resources
The 24-hour news cycle and the overwhelming number of online sources of information (excellent, good, bad, misinformed and just plain dangerous) can be overwhelming. PLEASE use information from these trusted sources during this challenging time:
