Why Therapy?
There are many reasons to seek therapy. Psychotherapy can help you get through times of crisis, as well as help through challenges such as depression, anxiety, burnout, etc. Click here if you’d like to know more about the kinds of issues with which I work. No Stigma
There is absolutely no shame in seeking help. Seeing a therapist does not mean that something is wrong with you. Rather, it means that you appreciate having a safe space to share your thoughts and feelings with a trained professional that can provide empathy, support, and strategies to move forward. It means you understand that psychotherapy can help you heal, grow, enrich your relationships, and ultimately improve your well-being.
Format
Session Length
Individual therapy sessions are either 50 or 75 minutes. The ideal session duration depends on the client’s preference and goals. First sessions are 75 minutes as there is a lot of background information to go over.
How many sessions?
The quantity of sessions varies from client to client. While a single session can be beneficial, several sessions are often required to build a trusting therapeutic relationship between client and therapist—which in turn facilitates change and growth.
